Ulster Excellence Scholarships* – Hospitality and Tourism

We are pleased to announce our exciting Ulster Excellence Scholarships, which offer outstanding undergraduate students the chance to ensure that financial worries are not an obstacle when it comes to academic achievement and realising their full potential.

*these payments are subject to the Department for Employment and Learning confirming that funding is maintained at current levels.

Ulster Excellence Scholarships are targeted at specific skills and subject groups and will be awarded subject to the application criteria being met.

• BSc Hons Culinary Arts Management
• BSc Hons International Hospitality Management
• BSc Hons International Hotel and Tourism Management
• BSc Hons International Travel and Tourism Management
• BSc Hons Leisure and Events Management
• BSc Hons International Travel and Tourism Studies with French
• BSc Hons International Travel and Tourism Studies with German
• BSc Hons International Travel and Tourism Studies with Spanish

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must:

• have selected Ulster as your CF choice through UCAS;
• have achieved three grade As at A level or the equivalent;
• be enrolled on one of the eligible courses; and
• achieve 60% grade average on progression across all modules.

How much is the Scholarship worth?

An Ulster Excellence Scholarship is worth £2000 a year for the duration of your course, or £1000 while you are on a  placement year.

How is it paid?

The Scholarships will be paid in a single instalment in January of the relevant academic year.
